MOUNTAINEERING IN INDIA
There
are many mountaineering options in Ladakh and the most
famous and easily accessible is the Stok (6150m), Goleb
(5900m), Kangyatse (6,400m) and Matho west (5,950m) Khangri
in the Zanskar mountains. Stok Khangri can be done in 4-5
days, which has spectacular view Indus valley and other
mountain ranges. Peaks of Kangyatse and Dzojongjo are
located in the Markha valley famous for trekking. The Nun
Kun massif is in the great Himalayan ranges. It is easily
accessible from Kargil and Padum road. Among its six known
peaks accessible from Suru valley Nun (7135m) and Kun
(6963m) are the highest summits.
There are many peaks to in Himachal, Gharwal, Sikkim and

You are required to pay a peak royalty depending on the
height of the peaks. The IMF assigns a liaison officer to
the trip. The best period for climbing season in India is
between mid April to end of October. You're required to give
us at least 3 to 4 months for documentation and permits.
